[megatron is feeling terrible while he's in the brig and without optimus to whine pathetically to, he decides he will send antlers a barrage of messages. this is poorly thought out and he will regret it, this he already knows, but can't bring himself to care. how can he be expected to just keep everything to himself? who cares if he provokes antlers again?]
It's been a while since I last told you I hate you.
I noticed you expanded your throne room. I'm afraid I'll need to take out a notice of the noise, seeing as it's too close to the library. Consider relocating to the garbage chute.
Do you even have any loyal Decepticons left? I suspect that's why you'll never get further than your own room. There are hundreds of empty rooms, by the way. All the same.
[ He reads, and contemplates. It's easy for the Runt Megatron to talk a big game over text, pathetic little worm.
He adores him. A precious tormented soul. A worthless life to be reshaped and marred.
Antlers will take nothing of this moment to reflect. Why should he? Why should he listen to the ramblings of a poor demon who titters on the Moral Event.. towards the other end where Antlers gladly steps beyond it.
So he'll say something. Give that little bastard a treat.]
Rest well, Megatron. Dream sweetly and may you actually wake the next day.
"Hello and good morning! This is Velocity, from the medibay? I'm trying to familiarize myself with as much of the crew as I can so everyone is at a nice comfort level with me before they come in. Any questions or concerns you may have are very reasonable to have, and I would be delighted to answer them!"
"Velocity, dear. I have no need for seeking a new medic. I am dealing quite fine with my visits from the inferiorly small Ratchet. Thank you for your time, at least You cared enough to ask."
But that is too bad. If you'd been more effectively handled by our would-be assassin, that would have saved me the effort in future. I am sure your Prime would agree.
"...So long as you are taking responsibility for it and don't call him that again, I suppose I'll accept that. Everyone has moments where they say the wrong thing in the moment, right? What matters is your behavior after that. So, well, this is moment one! Moment two can be you're telling me if there's anything else you need. You don't need to deal with heavy things all on your own, you know?"
I think we both know that you didn't have any sort of grand motive in mind beyond self interest or spite, or both. Attempting to cover it up with grand words and grander thoughts about any version of Optimus is distracting from the point.
It doesn't matter.
You should have died. We both should have. And the fact that we are here to complain at each other, instead of almost anyone anyone else lost to time, is one of the great injustices of the universe.
Do not attempt to dress it up as a fact of inner strength. It is not. If it was, you failed. Miserably.
Oh I think you will find Optimus in these equations always matter.
What are we without the ultimate opponent. What is he without an evil to face. I made him as he is after all, its all thanks to me he stood up to be a source of light in a world gone mad.
And its surely thanks to your evil that such kindness grew from your Optimus.
Cruelty births kindness, and kindness births placidity, placidity births unrest and the cycle returns.
"A-" She sputters for a moment, and almost audibly pressed a cupped hand over her mouth to muffle it before lowering it again.
"There is nothing wrong with letting people know something is wrong, or you're in pain. That's how things get worse! I hope you please feel comfortable letting me know if something is on your mind in the future! Even if I can't fix it, you'll have an audial and a shoulder, right?"
